Wow, my first moments of Shanghai were painful to say the least.  We arrived in town Sunday 4:30pm and it seems that all of the rest of shanghai arrived at the same time.  We were in the immigration line for 1.5 hours.  Finally getting to our driver at 6:15 and at the hotel at 7:00pm.  We had a great dinner with co-workers and then had a good nights sleep.  

 

On the way to the hotel, I was suprised by how modern Shanghai is.  It is a large city with some very large buildings.  Being the Idaho boy that I am it is far too many people for me, but for visiting here it is great!

 

Day 2:

 

Had a very good sleep in my firm double bed.  The rooms are very nice, and they have several "English" channels to choose from.  Much nicer than visiting places like Netherlands and France where you are stuck with local channels.  Maybe the exceptional CNN International.  But as they say when in Rome.
